As Vice President, Lydia provides oversight of Biblica’s work in Africa and ensures that the mission of Biblica is advanced by working with ministry partners. Lydia moved into her current role in 2015 after serving in Biblica for 21 years in various capacities including Regional Director for East Africa, National Coordinator for Kenya, Administration Manager and Communication Coordinator. She is passionate about discipleship for Africa’s children and youth whom she sees as the hope of a transformed continent.
Married to Rev Jotham Munene, a Pastor with Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM), Lydia currently resides in Kenya.
Rose joined Biblica in 1996 as an Assistant Marketing Manager after attaining a bachelor’s degree in commerce at the University of Nairobi. Since then, she has held different positions in the ministry of Biblica. She is currently the Director of Partnerships in the Mobilization team for the Africa office.
Rose’s love for books started while she very young. Her desire was to have a vocation that allowed her to interact with Christian literature. This is because she saw the transformation of lives through the written Word of God. She continues to be amazed at how God’s written Word transforms the hopeless, the lost, the desperate, the poor, the rich, the educated — any life that God touches.
She lives in Nairobi Kenya with her husband and three children. In addition to her love for books and reading, she loves making new friends, hiking, travelling, and music.
Nahusenay Afework serves as the Regional Director for Northeast Africa. Before his current role at Biblica, he worked as a Communication Specialist leading a media department in an NGO. While working there, he also served on the advisory board of a school owned and run by the NGO.
He has a master’s degree in literature and studied French and Italian languages. He also taught for several years at different levels including Unity and Addis Ababa University.
Nahusenay lives with his wife raising four children — two daughters and twin boys.
Carien joined Biblica in 2021 after eight years with World Vision, working in Southern Africa. She previously did consulting work focusing mainly on socioeconomic impact studies. She also spent time in Southern Africa’s financial services industry.
Carien is married to Willem, who works as a forester in Ghana. Though Carien is based in Pretoria, South Africa she often travels to Ghana and within Southern Africa to support partners as part of the Biblica Mobilization team.
When home, you will often find Carien in her garden, where they grow vegetables and berries.
With over six years of experience in brand management, product design, and pedagogy, Dennis seeks to revolutionize access to the Word of God across Africa using cutting-edge digital tools and technologies. His journey began with frontline ministry engagements, spanning high schools, universities, and church planting activities, culminating in his current role with Biblica
since 2022.
Dennis is dedicated to empowering partners with the products and strategies they need to achieve their ministry goals of Digital Bible engagement. His mission is to bring God’s Word closer to those who seek it, using innovation as his compass.
Dennis is married to Valentine Nekesa, a talented Digital Marketer, and they are proud parents to two daughters.
Susan Njoroge is a Senior Director of Finance and Operations for Biblica in Africa. Her role is focused on ensuring financial stability and operational excellence. She has served in various roles starting off as an accountant, then serving as Finance and Administration manager in the Biblica Kenya office before moving into her current role in 2016.
Susan resides in Nairobi, Kenya. She is married to Simon and has four children. She serves in her local church in the Sunday School ministry and is enthusiastic about children knowing God personally and being rooted in God’s Word. This spiritual grounding, she believes, has a great impact on families and communities at large.
Ebenezer Boafo has been serving as the Area Director of Translation for Biblica Africa since January 2004. In his role, he oversees Bible translation research, planning, and development.
He supervises all Africa Bible translation projects to ensure their integrity and quality. He also mentors and coaches Africa translation staff in the execution and management of translation goals and processes.
Eben is married to Anasthasia Boafo, and they are blessed with two children.
