Pursuant to Biblica’s mission to provide God’s Word in the heart language of the people and in response to the need from the Oromo speaking population in Ethiopia, the Oromo R4L translation project was started immediately after the Bible launch. We thank God that 30,000 copies of this R4L were printed and shipped into Ethiopia in June this year.
The official launch is scheduled for September 2025 with the potential for far-reaching influence. The Oromia region is home to one of the largest youth populations in Ethiopia, many of whom face intense social, economic, and spiritual challenges. By presenting Scripture in a language they think, feel, and dream in, the Oromo R4L will not only make the gospel more accessible but also speak directly to the everyday struggles and questions young people face.
