Reach4Life Launches in Zulu

Almost 8,000 children have enrolled in Zulu Reach4Life programs since Biblica rolled out this new translation in primary and high schools across South Africa. The program has been well received by headmasters, teachers, pastors, and students, finding its way even into prisons. Here are just three of the powerful testimonies we have received from the young people coming to faith in Jesus through this new Reach4Life Bible:

Nkandla, a 9th grade student at Mzuvukile Primary School shared, “I am loving my Reach4Life Zulu Bible. It has made it easy for me to understand the Word of God, what it says to me, and its meaning. I was not a believer before because I didn’t understand the message of salvation. It sounded complicated until I read the Zulu Reach4Life lessons on ‘Grace’ and ‘The Cross’. Now I tell all my friends about the Good News, and they too are slowly starting to commit to the Lord. No one went to church in my family because none of us understood. But now, as I learn things in my Reach4Life class, I take my notes home and share with my family. Now they are all believers, and we are now going to church together. This book has healed my family.”

Avuyile, a 10th grade student at Ithala High school said, “I would like to say thank you to those that made it possible for me to have a Zulu Reach4Life Bible. English can be difficult for us kids who don’t speak it that often. When I received my Zulu Reach4Life Bible, my life changed. I could hear and understand each and every word now. I organize my friends during our school break, and I share with them. My pastor recently borrowed my Zulu Reach4Life to teach a topic he needed at church. Now it’s a struggle to get my Bible back; he says this is the simplest way of explaining God’s Word. I don’t want to sound selfish, but can I please have another one? I really need my Bible.”

Nothando, a 7th grade student at uVondlo Primary school in Richards Bay shared, ”I have been introduced to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I have accepted him. I have never held a Bible in my hand before. At home we used to have one, which belonged to my grandmother. But they buried it with her when she died three years ago. Then there was no Bible at home until I came back from school with my Zulu Reach4Life. Every day during supper, my mom asks me to read for the family. We then sing and pray. But I told them it’s not just for singing and praying; the Bible teaches us to believe in Him so that we can have eternal life. I learned that I was far from God, but through Christ I have been brought back. My Zulu Reach4Life is amazing.”
