Biblica Motor Maze & Biblica Kids Festival 2015

The Biblica Motor Maze and Biblica Kids Festival were held on Saturday 8th of August 2015, at the St. George’s Girls School. The day started on a rainy note - not at all the weather we had been hoping for but the show had to go on. Participants started arriving early, braving the rain and full of excitement because the long-awaited day was finally here.

Can you flag me off now please? I'm all set... :)

The Motor Maze, pitting the regulars against the newbies, was going to be extremely competitive because Shell had made sure the top teams would be handsomely rewarded.

This n the rain

Upbeat Kenyan gospel music blasting from Faulu Kenya’s road-show truck kept everybody entertained and helped to lift our spirits up as we awaited flag-off. The brave ones even danced in the rain.

Psyching ourselves up

After flag off, it was time for the Biblica Kids Festival to begin and our brave little soldiers did not let the rain dampen their spirits. K-Krew children’s ministry kept the children and parents actively engaged and entertained all through.

Bet you can't tell it was drizzling

Three hours,  35 kilometers, 1 checkpoint & many activities later, the vehicles started coming back having completed the maze. They found the car-doctors on hand to give free diagnosis as well as an under-the-hood tutorial. Oh, there was also plenty of food – including soda & ice-cream in spite of the weather.

See what the rain did to the car stickers :)

There was joy & dancing as the winners received their gift certificates from the Shell representative – fuel worth KES 100,000 for the 3 top teams. For everybody else there were freebies in plenty: gift packs containing a t-shirt, cap & engine oil.

Car no. 3. Congratulations!!

All in all, a hugely successful event made possible by sponsors, friends and supporters of Biblica Kenya. We give thanks to God and look forward to next year. You should plan to be there!
