About Us

Biblica Africa was first registered in Kenya on 9th September 1976 as Living Bibles. By 1983/84, the organization had begun its maiden work of Bible Translation in Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo.

HISTORY

  • In 1992, Living Bibles merged with the International Bible Society to become International Bible Study
  • The STL merger occurred in 2007 and the name was changed to IBS-STL
  • The IBS-STL was finally renamed to to Biblica Africa in 2009

Currently, Biblica Africa distributes a wide variety of Bibles across Africa through partners in each of the three (West Africa, East & North East Africa and Southern Africa) regions.
